| Corresponding to the chemical composition of the base metal, then the welding wires are selected, these filler wires are classified according to GB/T5293 or the standards such as AWS A5.17 and EN756. In combination with an appropriate flux the mechanical/chemical properties in the weld metal are obtained to meet certain requirements of the base metal. It should be noted that the mechanical properties of the all-weld metal test specimens used for the classification of a wire/flux combination will vary from those obtained in production due to differences in welding procedures such as wire size and welding parameters. |
